The recommended way to reach Hotel Tenerife Playa in Tenerife is the following:

We highly recommend to fly to Tenerife North Airport (TFN), since the "Tenerife South" airport is over 100 km far from Puerto de la Cruz while the "Tenerife North" airport is over 30 km far from Puerto de la Cruz.

Arriving by Air to Tenerife:
(i) Tenerife North Airport (TFN) "Los Rodeos"
The nearest major airport to the "Tenerife Playa" Hotel  is Tenerife North Airport "Los Rodeos", which is less than 30 minutes travel by car (30 kilometres) to Hotel "Tenerife Playa". Several (mainly Spanish) airlines operate at Tenerife North Airport:

offer domestic flights with international connections, but also some international airlines:

(ii) Tenerife South Airport (TFS) "Reina Sofía"
Many regular and budget airlines fly to Tenerife South Airport "Reina Sofía". For more information visit the following webpage http://www.aena.es/ae/tfs/compania.htm where you can find links to the international airlines which operate to/from Tenerife South Airport.
 

The airport is about 100 kilometres from the Hotel Tenerife Playa (Puerto de la Cruz). There are regular bus services by TITSA from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station, either directly or via Santa Cruz Bus Station.

 

Arriving by Public Transport Bus to Puerto de la Cruz:
 

The coach pick-up and set-down points are located in front of the airport terminal buildings. The coach company is TITSA. For updated information and timetables see http://www.titsa.com – also available in English. Tickets can be purchased on the coach.

(i) From Tenerife North Airport "Los Rodeos"
There is a regular direct bus service, No. 309, from Tenerife North (Los Rodeos) to Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station, running hourly from 08:45 until 19:45 In addition, the bus also departs at 07:00 and 08:00.

Alternative 1: bus No. 102 is a regular service from Santa Cruz Bus Station to Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station with a stop in Tenerife North Airport. It runs every 30 minutes from approximately 07:20 until 20.50. Additional services depart at 06:50, 21:40 and 22:50.

Alternative 2: bus No. 340 service from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station stops at Tenerife North Airport at approximately 10.45, 15.00, 21.00 and 00.30.

Any of these alternatives costs €2.50 and the approximate travel time is 35 minutes.

(ii) From Tenerife South Airport "Reina Sofía"
Unfortunately, the direct bus, No. 340, from Tenerife South (Reina Sofía) to Puerto de La Cruz Bus Station is rather infrequent, with departures from the airport at 09:45, 14:00, 20:00 and 23:30. The ticket costs €7.70 and the approximate travel time is 85 minutes.

Alternatively, you can take first bus 341 – a regular service from Tenerife South to Santa Cruz Bus Station – and then bus 102 or 103 – a regular service from Santa Cruz Bus Station to Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station. Bus No. 341 runs hourly from 06:50 to 22:50, with additional departures for the same route at 23:45, 01:00 and 05:00 by bus No. 111. The journey costs €4.90 and takes approximately 50 minutes. The No. 102 bus runs every 30 minutes from 06:00 until 20:30, with additional services at 21:15, 22:30, 23:30, 00:15, 02:00 and 04:30. This part of the journey costs €3.50 and takes approximately 55 minutes. Bus service 103 runs every 30 minutes from 08:50 to 10:50 and from 12:50 to 18:50. It also runs at 06:50, 07:50, 11:50, 19:50, 20:50 and 21:50. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes and costs €3.50.

You can buy a bonobus ticket during business hours in the shop "El Rincón del Duende", located inside the terminal. It provides you with a 50% discount on the fare, and it cannot be bought on the coach.

Please note that delays are common due to heavy traffic in and around the metropolitan area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
 


Arriving by Taxi to the hotel:
 

There are taxi ranks situated in front of the airport terminal buildings and right next to where the coaches arrive/depart in Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz Bus Stations. Best to ask the taxi driver first about the approximate price for the journey.

(i) From Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station
A taxi from Puerto de la Cruz Bus Station to the hotel (around 2 km) will cost between €3-4.
(ii) From Tenerife North Airport "Los Rodeos"
A taxi from Tenerife North Airport "Los Rodeos" to the hotel (around 30 km) will cost approximately €20-23.
(iii) From Santa Cruz Bus Station
A taxi from Santa Cruz Bus Station to the hotel (around 40 km) will cost approximately €29.
(iv) From Tenerife South Airport "Reina Sofía"
A taxi from Tenerife South Airport "Reina Sofía" to the hotel (around 100 km) will cost approximately €72.
