ZASTERLE
| Leslie Scalapino. The Weatherman Turns Himself In. Gran Canaria: Zasterle, 1995. |
|
|
Weatherman speaking in separate locale
from others. The Weatherman's manner is always deadpan. He is taking pictures
with a camera, then laying photos of the actors on the floor even with
the cord that is the "line" of action: The viewer is not reflected
in the iris. The silver precipitates as black, the object (now the viewer)
is seen only negatively, not being (there).
The viewer sees one, who is the object now, non-reflecting as being from the ocean (as of irises. The viewer is there); yet the ocean is them, not being reflected to one (who's them). One is not live, as the moon isn't, which doesn't reflect the ocean of irises open under it. |
